Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET)
A consortium of 9 Central University of Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu (called Participating Universities, PUs) which were established by an act of Parliament in the year 2009 will organize a combined Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2016) for admission to their various programmes. The test will be conducted at different centres across the country on 21st & 22nd May 2016. The Coordinating University invites aspiring students to apply for admission to various Courses and Programmes in above PUs.

Candidates have to apply online in the prescribed format through the CECT official website, the link for which is www.cucet16.co.in.

- Candidates are required to apply online through CUCET 2016 website. General information for filling the online application can be obtained from CUCET-2016 website.
- Candidates who are appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree / certificate are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of each PU for a given programme before applying for CUCET - 2016. Candidates will be solely responsible for his / her eligibility and will not be considered for admission if found ineligible.
- Candidates are requested to read the general instruction carefully before filling-up the application form.
- Admit Card will only be notified on CUCET-2016 website. It is the responsiblity of the candidates to check the website for downloding the hall tickets, results and relevant information related to the CUCET 2016.
- The Coordinating University reserves all rights related to conduct of CUCET-2016. The decision of Chairman, Steering Committee CUCET-2016 would be final and blinding for all matters related to conduct of test. Any dispute with regards to any matter related to CUCET-2016 shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Jaipur courts only.
The candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in any stream. The aspirants who have appeared in their final year exam may also apply.
The entrance exam will comprise of four sections-- English/verbal ability, maths/quantitative ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning.
English/Verbal Ability: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc.
Maths/Quantitative Ability: Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.
Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), Venn diagram, etc.
Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test and interview.
